FAQ’s

What is a celebrant-led wedding ceremony?

A celebrant-led ceremony is a completely personal and meaningful alternative to a registrar or church service. It gives you the freedom to celebrate your love, your way at any location, with your own vows, readings, music, and rituals. Every ceremony is written from scratch to reflect your unique story.

Is a celebrant ceremony legally binding?

Currently, celebrant-led ceremonies in England and Wales are not legally binding. Most couples complete the short legal paperwork at their local registry office before or after their celebrant ceremony (you will need to give at least 29 days notice). Think of it like registering a birth before hosting a naming day quick, simple, and separate from your big celebration!

Where can we hold our ceremony?

Anywhere you like! From woodlands and beaches to barns, gardens, or even your family home, as long as you have permission from the land owner/council. Don't forget that if you are thinking of a beach wedding to check the tide times. You’re not limited to licensed venues we’ll work with you to create a setting that feels perfect for your day.

Can we include religious or cultural elements?

Absolutely. Your ceremony can be as spiritual, traditional, or modern as you wish. Whether you’d like a hand fasting, candle-lighting, or a simple heartfelt exchange of vows, we’ll help craft something that reflects who you are as a couple.

What areas do you cover?

We are based in Somerset and are happy to travel to Devon, Dorset, Cornwall, Bath & Bristol.
