There’s something rather special about a summer wedding in the Devon countryside, and Nathan & Natalie’s wedding at Upton Barn & Walled Garden was a perfect example. Natalie got ready in the stunning Paddock, where the beautiful natural light flooded the space. She wore an elegant, figure-skimming wedding dress with a delicate lace neckline, perfectly complementing the soft and timeless feel of the day.

As Devon wedding photographers, we’re always drawn to weddings that make the most of their surroundings, and an outdoor ceremony in the beautiful walled garden is hard to beat. Surrounded by greenery and flowers, with the Devon countryside beyond, it created such an intimate and relaxed setting for their celebration.

The pastel flowers worked beautifully against the natural surroundings, while Nathan’s beautifully tailored blue suit added a timeless touch that felt perfectly at home in the countryside.

Our approach to wedding photography is all about keeping things natural. We want you to remember how your wedding felt, rather than spending the day feeling like you’re constantly being photographed. We’ll gently guide you when needed, but most of the day is about stepping back and allowing things to unfold naturally.

This wedding was a lovely reminder of why we love photographing weddings across Devon, soft summer colours, a beautiful outdoor ceremony and a stunning countryside setting, but most importantly, two people simply enjoying their wedding day with the people they love. And for us, that’s what great wedding photography is all about.
