Spring Wedding at Rockbeare Manor

There’s something truly magical about a spring wedding, especially when it’s set in the heart of the Devon countryside, add in fields of wildflowers and just the loveliest bride and groom and our hearts are very happy. Rockbeare Manor, a stunning white-washed country house surrounded by 100 acres of parkland, is one of the most breathtaking Devon wedding venues, and it was the perfect setting for this unforgettable day.

As Devon wedding photographers, we’ve been lucky to shoot in some incredible venues, but there’s something special about Rockbeare Manor. From the moment we arrived, with the sun shining & wildflower fields swaying gently in the breeze, we knew this wedding was going to be special.

Kyanna got ready with her bridal party at the Dairy, a contemporary stone cottage full of traditional charm that’s a stones throw from the Manor. The ceremony took place in the stunning Dining Room, with a huge crystal chandler, a feature fireplace full of pretty pastel pink florals and overlooking the South lawns, it really was the most beautiful ceremony. 

The newlyweds enjoyed a relaxed drinks reception on the lawn, with breathtaking views stretching out over the rolling Devon countryside. Guests mingled under the soft afternoon sun, bubbly in hand, a perfect afternoon of celebration in such a romantic setting.

As the sun began to dip, everyone gathered for the wedding breakfast in the venue’s elegant, light-filled ballroom. The space was filled with golden light, soft florals, and the speeches began. We always love hearing loved ones tell their stories, we often find ourselves laughing along with the guests and today was no exception!

After the first dance everybody joined the newlyweds on the dancefollr and sang thier herts out and stomped theri feet to the amazing wedding band Tux Fizz, they always know how to keep the party going! We stole the couple away for a few quiet moments together, slipping into the golden light of the wildflower fields just as the sun began to set. The light was soft and gloomy, the kind that every bride an groom dream of for their wedding day. Surrounded by swaying grasses and delicate blooms whilst watching the sun set, it was the perfect ending to such a beautiful day.
