Summer wedding at St Audries Park in Somerset

As Somerset wedding photographers, very few venues capture our heart quite like St Audries Park. Set amongst rolling Quantock Hills and surrounded by a serene Deer Park, it’s one of those Somerset wedding venues that feels like a world of its own. And on this warm summer’s day for the wedding of Abbie & James, it came alive in the most magical way.

From the moment we arrived, there was an atmosphere of excitement and pure happiness. Our lovely bride and groom, known for their huge smiles and infectious energy, brought so much joy to their day and you couldn’t help but be swept up into the excitement along with them. Their floral design was an explosion of colour, bold pinks, vibrant orange tones and joyful blooms just bursting with life. Everywhere you looked, there was colour, laughter and a whole lot of love!

The ceremony took place inside the elegant Victorian Orangery at St Audries Park, a light-filled space with views over the picturesque grounds. Guests wiped away happy tears as the couple exchanged vows, and we have to admit, we were holding back a few tears too! Even after 12 years behind the lens, the wedding ceremony hits us right in the feels every single time. 

We wandered around the beautiful grounds for some couple portraits. As a trusted supplier for St Audries Park with numerous weddings photographed there, we know all the best spots for your wedding photos. Later, we headed into the sun-kissed fields, dotted with hay bales and drenched in that perfect golden hour light. These are the moments we love most, where the couple can breathe, laugh together and soak up the magic of it all. They had the prettiest wedding cake surrounded by floral cupcakes that looked so real! The first dance was held in the magical Great Hall, a spectacular room that looks like its straight out of a Harry Potter movie. We ended the evening with a sparkler tunnel, a fantastic way to end such a wonderful day!
