Autumn weddings are fast becoming a firm favourite for us. The colours on the trees, the low sunlight that us photographers love, and touches of gold just like the brides gold sparkly shoes!! Lucy & Edwin chose beautiful Cambridge Cottage at Kew Gardens for their ceremony. The former royal residence of the Duke of Cambridge, Cambridge Cottage is located in a quiet part of Kew Gardens and is just perfect for an autumn wedding.

The first dance, a moment you will never forget. But how will you decide on such an important song? All first dance songs are usually pretty romantic but the right song will be the one that either has a personal meaning to both of you one where the lyrics give you goosebumps every time you hear them.

The breathtaking Somerset wedding venues are one of the main reasons we left London behind earlier this year and moved our business halfway across the country to follow our dreams of becoming wedding photographers in the South West.  From Manor Houses to quirky barns, pretty orangeries to country estates, you really are spoilt for choice here in this South West county. 

We were so excited to photograph the Somerset wedding of Caroline & Will, and even more excited that is was our first wedding at The Old Milking Parlour at Cavokay House!  We have become good friends with the venue owners since moving to Somerset so we were really looking forward to working together on this amazing wedding!

We are so happy to share this beautiful Somerset wedding with you today! We first met Zoe & Ben for a coffee when we were living in London, we listened all about how Ben grew up in Kings Hall School in Taunton and how the place had so many wonderful memories for him and his family there. They were planning on a church ceremony then onto a Disney themed reception back at Kings Hall as the bride is a HUGE Disney fan! Little did we know when we first met them that we would actually be moving 10 minutes down the road from Kings Hall School in Taunton! 

From Somerset to Scotland to the Isles of Sicily, burning orange coloured kumquats & the eucalyptus adorned details, Emily & Craig brought a touch of the mediterranean to the idyllic Somerset village of Porlock which nestles between Exmoor and the stunning coastline of West Somerset.

It was May 2018. Their email read: “Hello! It would be great to know if you have availability on our date for our wedding at Upton Barn”. After a quick google we discovered Upton Barn & Walled Garden was the prettiest barn wedding venue in Devon we had ever seen!

One of the reasons we moved 170 miles away to become Somerset wedding photographers was because of the beautiful wedding venues in the Somerset! Every single one we have visited so far (and that’s only a handful) have blown us away. And Crowcombe Court certainly did that!

“I just want to start this next chapter in our lives, with all our favourite people, with some delicious drinks on the lawn, hopefully in the sunshine, that would just be amazing!” Well Alexandria, we think your wedding dreams came true! After weeks and weeks of rain, the sun finally came out to play at this beautiful, relaxed summer wedding at the wonderful Cambridge cottage at Kew Gardens. 

Being wedding photographers in Somerset we get to work with amazing wedding suppliers in the South West! When we met the lovely Charlotte from Pastel designs, we knew we had to hear more about her and the beautiful wedding stationery she designs. Wedding stationery is the first glimpse of your wedding that your guests will see so it’s really important to get it right.

When we first started planning our own wedding we had no idea on wedding day timelines!  What time do our guests arrive? How long will we need for family photos? I think we can say that our first wedding at Woodlands Castle in Taunton was a dream!! From the loveliest couple, to the prettiest blush wedding bouquet you ever did see and not to mention the pink tinted castle, this was a Somerset wedding at it’s very best!

When Siàn and Richie contacted us about their wedding at Upton Barn in Cullompton, Devon we knew we had to speak to them straight away! What a beautiful wedding venue! Once we had spoken to them and found out all about them and heard about their plans for their summer wedding in Devon we just knew we had to be a part of it. And we were over the moon when they booked us!!
